The pictures of this cabin look nice, but do not even do it the justice it deserves! This was the best vacation we have ever had with 5 family’s (18 people total). It literally sits on the small river, perfect for fishing’s. We had wild life all around and many trails in waking distance. The amenities in the cabin we perfectly suited for the kids (ages 1 to 11) and for the adults. The owner had amazing snacks right when we walked in. All the rooms were spacious and clean. Hands down the best vacation rental we have ever had.
Koenig Lodge was one of the most beautiful houses that we have ever rented from VRBO. The pictures on the internet site do not do it justice. It is so much more spacious than it looks. Also it is furnished with the perfect furniture for that lodge. We love the deck overlooking the river. We were looking for a place on either river in Estes and Koenig Lodge certainly was just what we wanted. It is perfect for large family gatherings and everything was simply great.

Cannot say enough nice things about this property and our stay here from July 11-16, 2018. Every little detail was thought of, as our family group of 11 (plus a baby) could not have experienced better accommodations anywhere else. From the pre-check in communication with the owner, to first getting into the house, through the check-out process….I would highly encourage anyone to stay here if you’re looking for a warm and cozy relaxing stay with all beautiful sights and sounds of nature out your front or back door.. Many peaceful mornings of coffee outside listening the the river that runs adjacent to the property…Evenings of dinner and wine sitting outside on the spacious deck…Family game time at the oversized dining table….Loved every minute of our stay here!!
Within an hour of moving in (and finding a hospitality basket of cookies, coffee, and chips), we knew we would want to bring our family back to this place. It was perfect for our large groups of grandparents, kids, and grandkids. The well-equipped kitchen, the comfortable living area, the large number of sleeping options, the two-level deck — all these made our stay delightful. The manager was very accommodating for a request for certain pans in the kitchen. Thank you so much!
Koenig Lodge is incredible with beautiful furnishings! The space was great, accommodating the size of our group perfectly. Plenty of room for dining, lots of comfortable beds with nice sheets, and all bathrooms had a lot of very nice towels. Game room downstairs entertained all ages. Snacks and cookies available upon arrival were the perfect touch. The location is amazing, the patio on the main level overlooks the river, pretty breathtaking. The lodge is a short drive from the heart of Estes Park and the Dunraven Inn (restaurant) is less than a 5 minute walk. The owners were wonderful – very nice, accommodating and responsive.
Our experience staying in this property was exceptional, from the reservation process all the way through to the day we departed. The property is beautiful and sits right on the river, with a beautiful sweeping deck above and porch below. We had a large group of 17 and it never felt crowded due to the three levels of tremendous space offering well appointed bedrooms, bathrooms, and family gathering areas. It felt like home and everyone had a blast, from the youngest to the oldest. The two kitchens were also a huge plus! From the views, to the amazing location, to the tremendous warmth of the owners, this property and experience exceeded expectations. We will be back!
Having two kitchens was amazing with the amount of people we had. We were pleased with how stocked the kitchen was with plastic baggies, pots and pans, and other goods. We were pleasantly surprised by the cookies, chips, snacks and water bottles left on the counter as a welcoming gift. The cookies were delicious and went quickly.
The downstairs recreation room was a hit especially on a rainy afternoon. The layout is amazing and when we all gathered together we were very comfortable, but if anyone wanted time away there were plenty of places to retreat to. We also enjoyed walking down to the little park to play. I can’t say enough about this house and the amenities. The location was awesome and we were able to get to town very quickly. I also enjoyed walking up to the YMCA and having a nice morning run. I must mention how easy it was to communicate with the owner and I was so happy to meet her when we checked in. She was gracious and kind. This is our favorite VRBO and hope to come back soon to make more memories.
This was a WONDERFUL home to accommodate our large party. The house was spotless, the view of the river was wonderful. My dad and my daughter went fishing every single morning. The hosts were wonderful – in fact, my daughter left two of her favorite stuffed animals at the house, and the homeowner hunted them down, and is sending them back to us!! Would definitely recommend this place.
We have a family reunion every two years in different states. I was the host for this year’s reunion in Colorado. We knew we wanted a beautiful outside setting but also needed a house that could hold five families totaling 18 people with a wide age range of kiddos. I fell in love with this property as soon as I saw it online. Communication was easy with the owner and she was so quick to respond. The location is amazing and the view from the porch was breathtaking. We ate outside every meal and the sounds of the river just added a magical touch.
The house is impeccable, decorated beautifully, and well stocked. The bunk room was perfect for the kids and all the adults enjoyed spacious bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and had quality sheets and blankets. The small touches likes gates on the outside porch and at the top of the stairs was appreciated. The bathrooms were spacious and had plenty of towels. We appreciated the laundry supplies in the wash room.
